Sauteed Cabbage Glazed with Balsamic Vinaigrette

Serves 4 to 6

2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 medium head Savoy or green cabbage, outer leaves removed, cored and coarsely shredded
1/3 cup Silver Palate Balsamic Country Salad Splash
1 small green apple, unpeeled, washed, cored and finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste


Heat oil in a large deep casserole over medium heat. Add onions and sauté until limp, 5 to 6 minutes. Add cabbage and stir until it begins to wilt, 3 to 4 minutes. Pour in Silver Palate Balsamic Country Salad Splash and continue cooking and stirring just until the cabbage is hot and bright green. It should be tender but still a little crisp. Stir in apple, caraway seeds, salt and pepper. Serve hot or at room temperature.
