The Silver Palate store opened in 1977, with a pure and simple idea -- a tiny gem of a place where the best foodstuffs could be available -- no pretense, just good food prepared in a special way. It was cooked fresh every day, using only the best ingredients to create wholesome flavors that were both elegant, exciting, and at the same time simple. All the food was cooked in small batches and tasted the way homemade food tastes. The store was the ultimate fresh food take out place. The commitment to constant quality allowed its reputation to grow and as it grew, the menu options expanded. Today the store no longer exists, but we wanted you to taste some of our favorite recipes from the store menu. Some of them are very simple, some may be more involved, requiring a bit more time to prepare, but they are all worth it. Hope you will enjoy them as much as we do.
